Membership Options
All range users must be members or guests of members.
To become a member, applicants must be eligible to purchase a Montana hunting license and be qualified for unescorted access. There are three ways to apply for membership. You can:
- Join and pay fully online by clicking below. You will receive a temporary code for immediate range access after completing required online safety orientation.
- Visit a local sporting goods store, where you can fill our a membership form and pay for membership. You will receive a temporary code for same-day range access.
- Fill out a paper application and mail the completed forms and fees to the membership chairman for access (several weeks turnaround).
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
- $90 annual membership dues.
- $10 fee for first-year members for their gate keycard.
- Online membership lasts 1 year from signup date.
- Mailing in a paper form gets you a membership from March 1st through February 28th of the following year. (New members whose forms are received after Dec. 1 will get membership through Feb. 28 of the next membership cycle.)
- Must complete the training video annually

LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP
- $1,500 one-time membership payment.
- $10 fee for first-year members for their gate keycard.

YOUTH GROUP MEMBERSHIP
- $25.00: Youth Group Membership
- Allows youth access to the Deer Creek Shooting Center for attending practices, competitions, and other group events for teams and activities in which they're a participant.
- Allows immediate family access through the entrance gate for dropping off/picking up and for attending practices and competitions.
- No general range access privileges.
- Must complete training video annually.
- Must review the Range Rules annually.
HOUSEHOLD MEMBERSHIPS
- Spouse Membership: The spouse of any annual or life member may receive independent access credentials to the range and guest privileges after passing our safety orientation and paying $20 annually.
- Dependent Membership: The same offer is made to students who are dependents of annual and life members living at home between ages 16-20 who pass the safety orientation and pay $20 annually.
- All household memberships will also pay $10 in their first year for their gate keycard.
How to become a member?

There are currently three ways to apply for membership. We recommend becoming a member online. Local sporting goods store have application forms and will receive the completed forms and fees for membership. You can also fill out an application and send the completed forms and fees to the membership chairman for access in about two weeks.
This membership route is currently under development.
Use this option only if you have been invited to test online membership signup or renewal.
Local Sporting Goods Stores
(immediate access)
The most expeditious way to join is at the gun counter of local sporting goods stores. Sportsmens Warehouse, Bob Ward & Sons, Murdochs, Cabela’s, Selway Armory, and Bass’s Gun Rack all process WMFGA/DCSC memberships. Joining at the sporting goods store gets a new member immediate access to the DCSC as follows:
- Carry your application-receipt with you until you receive your WMFGA I.D. card in the mail.
- Complete the Orientation Program on this website using your member number or the number on your application.
- You should receive (or request) the combination for the manual locked gate from the vendor at time of purchase. The manual combination locked gate is the right hand gate located at both entrances.
